Plant Manager for third party service provider supporting an industry leading North America manufacturer. Will report to the Head of Operations and manage 3-4 direct and up to 130 indirect reports. Responsible for both the strategic and day-to-day plant operations to include safety, quality, maintenance, service levels, labor planning & retention while considering capacity & constraints of customer demands. The position requires the ability to understand the metrics which drive the operations and how to influence metric improvement for effective material movement, delivery to customers as well as labor retention initiatives (in a labor-intensive manufacturing and refurbishing environment) by assigning standard work with achievement targets and clear action plans. Must be capable of translating objectives and needs into deliverable strategy to achieve business goals as well as ensure the operation has the required materials to create a competitive advantage of the product portfolio. Must be skilled in balancing supply risk (i.e. capacity, constraints) with improvement opportunities. Focusing on building a world-class team, utilizing and deploying LEAN Six Sigma techniques, driving continuous improvement activities and achievement of superior performance across all KPIs (Key Performance Initiatives).
Background Required:
- Plant Operations (5 years minimum)
- Management or Supervision with direct reports (3 years minimum)
- Extensive knowledge of production output and quality
- History of establishing operational best practices
- Demonstrated success driving standards, metrics and performance targets
- Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing and Six Sigma tools
- Strong EHS standards
- History of utilizing KPI’s/Metrics measurements for improvements
- Budgeting and P&L management
- Bilingual – English & Spanish
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree
